Rather than focusing on untested models of classroom discipline this book presents a more balanced and comprehensive approach to classroom discipline, balancing the perspective of character educators and the perspective of those who are concerned about managing and correcting misbehavior. This text encourages teachers to reflect upon critical issues of classroom discipline and their beliefs, recognize multiple perspectives toward classroom discipline, and be able to select and apply the most effective techniques that not only prevent and correct misbehavior but also serve the long-term aim of developing self-discipline.More Information
Hal and Sidra Stone are the creators of “Voice Dialogue” process, a therapy that transforms the inner critic from crippling adversary to productive ally.PThe inner critic. It whispers, whines, and needles us into place. It checks our thoughts, controls our behavior, and inhibits action. It thinks it is protecting us from being disliked, hurt, or abandoned. Instead, the critical inner voice causes shame, anxiety, depression, exhaustion, and low-self-esteem. It acts as a powerful saboteur of our intimate relationships and is a major contributor to drug and alcohol abuse./PPThrough examples and exercises, the Stones show us how to recognize the critic, how to avoid or minimize “critic attacks,” and, most important, how the inner critic can become asn intelligent, perceptive, and supportive partner in life./PMore Information

Creative imagination is an important tool that we need to know how to use it. Creative visualization is the process of visualizing an image in the mind, and through natural, mental laws bring it into manifestation on the material plane. Let me tell you something when you set out to go to some familiar place, such as your office, the grocery, a shopping mall or a friend’s house, your mind sees the place and the route to it, although unconsciously. Before going to a place where you have not been before, you plan your way beforehand. This hasn’t done by anything else but your imagination. You use your ability to visualize. You visualize the road, the streets you have to pass through and even the traffic lights. You plan the way with the help of a map and your visualizing ability. This is a natural process which all of us use, though unconsciously. If you are showing some kind of sentiments or feelings or love towards any other person, this simply means that you are sharing your visualizations with that person. Our body language even depends upon imagination.
